A simp is a man who respects himself so little, is so weak and led by the possibility of a crumb of attention that he will spend much of his savings and energy on women who will take advantage of this fact. A lot of men once they realize this causes disgust rather than respect, even from women despite its convenience, causes resentment and anger and the places them in the "nice guy" category. These guy DO expect something in return ultimately. They are not "providers". That was traditionally the job of a husband, not to any woman he finds attractive.
