I believed a girlfriend once without question. I sensed something was up and she told me she was raped by a friend, so I called the police. The truth came out real fast that she was cheating. This is not the only occasion I have witnessed something like this. I believed women first, but my experience of the ones that lied to conjure a story or avoid responsibility made me hesitant. They are much of the reason why I know to think through accusations.
