I loved the article!
I’m a little confused by where we can ground morality as I’m sure many are. You’ve said “how the world is” and that, say, deception is intrinsically immoral (if I have followed correctly), but I think this would need to be expanded upon. How can morality be mathematical? This might be a loaded question, but I’d be interested in your thoughts. I haven an intuition that there is objectivity in morality, but I can’t describe it. I know certain ways of thinking will inevitably cause suffering and pain — although something would need to explain why suffering and pain is bad.
This is where I think people can either point to God or be total relativists. I’m not sure I’m satisfied with either option.
