I’m sorry to hear about your experience.

My point is not to say that abused people are not worthy of love, but abuse that has not been dealt with can be a very destructive force in relationships. Outside of abuse, it’s ideal that people have some level of stability before entering relationships anyway.

However, hurt people that do attempt to deal with their experience have the potential to heal themselves and others, and painful experiences can offer a person an opportunity to grow and develop insight not readily available to other individuals. That is true. Perhaps it was my error that was not emphasised.
