Incredible. I took the time to rewrite what the NHS said in religious terms to make obvious that this is a new ideology whose momentum depends not on facts and seeing things in proportion, but conversion and control of behaviour.

1. Don’t resist God. This isn’t personal and it’s not really about you. Everybody is at a disadvantage when our formal institutions perpetuate sin.

2. Don’t say ‘I’m not religious’ to excuse yourself from this conversation. Right now, ignorance isn’t an excuse. You can’t unsee what God presents to us.

3. You don’t have to be vocal, but do pray. Praying means being open to hearing what God is saying. Be open to feeling his presence (if he chooses to speak to you). You would be hard pushed to find God without people who have sinned against him.

4. Work on your empathy. Try to see from God’s perspective. Sin is dehumanization and the only way to save your soul is to seek forgiveness from God.

5. Instill the fear of God within you.

Thank you for being one of the few writers that seem to have common sense lately.
