It's a good question. Like sisyphus, life is like pushing a rock up a hill. It requires constant effort. But we can still find spaces for relaxation, joy and refuge. We have to keep the basics going in life, just like we can't skip sleeping or eating. But we can also plan time for ourselves, and keep that in mind as we are working.

We can also carry a kind of peace with us as we are active. Eckhart Tolle is one of the most well known for popularising this as "presence". Once a sense of that is achieved, many tasks in life feel less arduous. When we feel really down, everything feels like an effort. If we can cultivate some of this presence, it can take some of the weight off of us. This is why meditation is also so popular. It helps us in our routines, but it may not necessarily fix problems that will need to be fixed.

These other problems don't really have a single solution and can be sparse in their causes, and life is full of constant problems, but it's supposed to be that way. Solving them gives us purpose. But sometimes they become so large we must face them in a different way than how we have been. How that looks is different for different people.
