That’s right, there’s a letting go that needs to take place before you are able to recreate yourself in a new way that is in alignment with who you are or strive to be. That in itself is also quite a journey, and I plan on sharing my own story of rekindling a sense of purpose from the bleak nihilistic despair of the dark night of the soul — which is lacking in this article as I was still on the tail end of the experience.

It sounds like you have the right attitude though, and I encourage you to keep writing and creating :)
