Thank you so much!

Honestly, I will have to think about this to figure it out.

The article was written over a period of two years, only when insight struck me most strongly.

I was going through the dark night for a long time, so I was researching associated concepts, and finding mystics and intellectuals I resonated with. Some of which I quoted within the article. In my searches I would find something that felt like a piece of understanding. Maybe it was a concept or a quote, so I would place it in a 'dark night of the soul' folder.

I explored mysticism, shamanism, mythology, depth psychology - even popular intellectualism.

Much I had via my own realizations as well.

Over time, this concentrated sparse ideas into one place, mixed with writing only when inspiration struck the hardest. I believe that is responsible for the level of potency of it. I guess in a way it was a consolidation of inspiration over time.

It's definitely not a blueprint for punching out article after article, and it was not a fast time-efficient project. I was trying to figure out my own position in order to overcome it. I had no expectation of audience either, and it was only my 3rd article.

In the comments above, I have listed a few suggestions for reading such as "The Will To Power" by Friedrich Nietzsche and "Philosophy: Who Needs It" by Ayn Rand, but I also listened to a lot of recorded Manly Hall talks and read books by Hazrat Inayat Khan. Videos on YouTube about depth psychology and the process of life by "Academy of Ideas" were great, but what works might depend on the person.

For me, I needed to find my drive for life again. I needed an identity and a role. I needed to accept life for what it was, and learn to use my mind to think. I found a lot of this through rediscovering my own ability for creativity and believing there was a reason I needed to use that potential. But first I needed to find that quiet refuge that is always available to us in life.

A bit long-winded but hopefully I gave a sense of what produced this article.

Thanks for your comment :)
