Thanks for reading!

It’s a journey that does not end. Think of every philosopher or spiritual teacher that has come before. Nobody knew everything. If you believe someone knew everything or has a special kind of knowledge, then you are trapped by that person as your source of wisdom is from them.

You’ll keep being wrong about things and you’ll keep learning but it’s like a receding horizon. To play the game of life, you have to keep seeking, learning, and creating.

I went deep into the new age spiritual seeking and it left me wanting because I was trying to find purpose or something objective to hold onto. Their enlightenment is in ‘being’, impermanence, and subjectivity. There’s a large focus on the good in all, the body, and emotion. It’s more about the present, than the future.

The other kind of spirituality is hierarchical with a sense authority. It projects into the future and the past. This can help with morality, values, and responsibility.

These two kinds tend to be at war with each other quite often but a balanced person can integrate the values of both.

One thing I found helpful is depth psychology and how it goes into mythology, creativity, and self-actualisation. These things largely helped pull me out of the dark night of the soul.

I wish you luck :)
