Thanks so much for reading!
I sincerely wish you the best choosing the covenantal perspective. If I could live all over again I would certainly have stuck to it more strongly as in my experience the freedoms other lenses provide do not compensate for the depth the covenantal lens offers.
Modern culture has lost touch with the meaning of chastity and I believe not only that, but many traditional virtues and values. We have lost touch so strongly it is hard to even describe what they mean and their benefits. I get the feeling we will eventually rediscover them once we realize the problems that arise without them. I believe Nietzsche spoke about realizing the value of values.
I would thoroughly recommend reading Caroline J. Simon’s work. When I read her description of the romantic lens I was like “wow, finally I have found a way to describe myself and not think there’s something wrong with me for not being so casual about relationships and sexuality”.
All the best!
