The irony is I don't think men themselves are the main influences surrounding 'what men expect'. That to me is largely women columnists, fashion companies, advertising, and other entertainment. I see more of the narrative of what men should accept. Many things a man would not accept in a woman has an 'anti-shaming' campaign behind it. I think it's dangerous for a man (or possibly anyone) to even write about what men expect from women for fear of backlash.
